Farmville
has recently released the Feline Evolution to our farms. As we Showed you in a Sneak Peek few days ago. This is an all
new feature in which you can raise baby cats through their evolution to
majestic Fantasy Felines. Check out the details below and please do
share with friends if you find the post helpful.
Placement
When
the Feline Evolution feature is released to you, you should receive the
following pop-up inviting you to place a free animal crate on your
farm.
Upon placing the crate, you will get a pop-up inviting you to share canned food with your friends, via posting to your wall.
Once you place the crate simply click on it to open it.

Upon
opening the crate you will be prompted to choose which of two baby cats
you want it to contain. You will be given the one you choose. As you
complete its feline evolution, you will be prompted at each step to
choose between two different cats.
Once you place the new animal the tutorial will open to walk you through the process of feline evolution.
The Illustrative Tutorial
Feeding
You will need to feed your new Fantasy Feline to help it evolve into a new animal. There
are three stages of growth that a baby cat must complete to be fully
grown in Feline Evolution. Each stage requires its own unique food. The
level 1 canned food can be claimed from friends’ feed posts in very limited quantities per post or can be crafted in the Craftshop. The level two dry food and level three treats can only be obtained by crafting them in the Craftshop, or from friends’ feed posts from harvesting Level 2, 3, or 4 animals.
Fantasy
Felines are ready to harvest every 8 hours and grant and share the
level of food that they currently require to advance to the next level.
Fully grown versions share Treats. Similar to Quests and Countdowns, the
three levels of food MUST be posted to your wall. Copying the link and
‘X’ing out of the pop-up to private share via a group, message, etc,
will cause the link to expire.

Canned Food

Level 1 Canned Food can be crafted in the Craftshop with the use of 3 peanut bushels, 4 blackberry bushels and 3 oats bushels.
The recipe takes six hours to complete and yields one can of food.
Remember
while you can only use one counter for each recipe in the Craftshop,
you can place a Craftshop on every farm and make one of each recipe per
farm if you so desire.
You will need 5 canned food to evolve one  baby cat to the next level animal.
Dry Food

Level 2 Dry Food can be crafted in the Craftshop with the use of 3 grape, 3 spinach and 3 squash bushels.
The recipe takes 6 hours to complete and yields one bowl of food
You will need 10 dry food to evolve one Fantasy Feline to the next level.
Treats

Level 3 treats can be crafted in the Craftshop with the use of  3 cotton, 3 raspberry and 3 artichoke bushels
The recipe takes 6 hours to complete and yields one treat.
You will need 15 treats to raise one Fantasy Feline to the final level
Feeding
There are two ways to feed a Fantasy Feline
From the outside by clicking on the cat and clicking “feed animal” .

This
method is a bit slow, as it adds just one can of food at a time and you
must click both again for each additional can you wish to add

The alternative method is to click “look inside”

When
you do this there will be a “feed” button in the lower left corner
which you can click to add each can of feed. It is still one click per
unit of food, but at least not two. This method gives the added benefit
of showing how many of the current type of feed that you are using above
the feed button. As the feed does not go to the gift box, there does
not appear to be a way at this time to track how many of the other two
not currently in use types of food you have in your inventory. The
number over the picture of the food will indicate how many you have in
inventory and the number directly above the feed button will indicate
how many your feline has been fed versus what it needs.

If you are out of the type of food that your Fantasy Feline currently requires, the feed button will be greyed out.
Each
time you complete a level of feeding you will receive a similar popup
indicating that you have a choice between two animals at the next level.
When you evolve a Fantasy Feline, it will disappear and be replaced by the next level animal you choose.

After
you have fed your baby Fantasy Feline 5 Canned food, 10 dry food and 15
treats it will be fully evolved. You will receive a popup allowing you
to share canned food to the feed. These popups come as each level is
complete and all levels share canned food only at this time. When you
fully complete the evolution of an animal, the popup will also indicate
that you have earned a new free Fantasy Feline crate to start again.

You
can only have one free animal crate in progress at a time. You will not
receive another for free until your Fantasy Feline is fully grown. If
you wish to have more than one in progress at a time, you can purchase
another for 5 farm cash in the market.
Genealogy
Each
of the Fantasy Felines can evolve into two different other Fantasy
Felines until they are fully grown. Once a Feline is fully grown, it
will not accept food or transform into anything else. The possibilities
for each different Fantasy Feline are shown below

Storage
While
they are in process of evolving, Fantasy Felines must be left out on
the farm. You can place them in the Zoo pen or Wildlife Cave, but if you
do so while they are incomplete, they will lose all
progress/food/treats you have fed them toward the next level.
Once
an animal has been fully fed and is fully grown,it can be placed in the
zoo without losing progress. However, if you opt to do so, you will
only be able to harvest it once per day as per the Zoo pen’s time,
instead of every 8 hours and you will not be able to harvest it to
collect and share treats.
