FarmVille Coconuts Messy Mystery Solved by FvLegends
Hey FarmVille Legends The nutty coconuts are back in the news… This time, again for the wrong reasons… A lot of players have been complaining about receiving different amounts of coconuts than that shown in the market… Not only for the animals, but also the trees, and everything else that harvests for coconuts (including the latest Beach Resort)… What’s the mystery behind this Coconut mess? Well, A recent investigation by the TDF team revealed the reason for this confusion… 

Remember Price Testing? Well, Zynga has been doing price testing since a long time now… They did it for various market items and also for some features like Pattern Guarantee, Scratch Card game, etc… So, what is price testing? Well, its just a technique where different players are given different costs for the same feature… Thus the company tries to judge what would be the optimal price for the items or features… A similar price testing is the reason why we are all getting various results for harvesting of coconuts… 

As per investigation of the game codes, it was observed that there are some variants to the ratio in which we get coconuts from harvests… Not 2 or 3 variants, but a total of 9 different variants… Some high and some low… Ranging from just 85% of the actual promised coconuts, to a high of 115% of coconuts… That means, while some players will get less coconuts for some tree, or animal, some others will get more coconuts for the same tree or animal… This ratio/percentage is constant across all farms for a player, and is not affected by any kinds of statues or bonuses… 

To put it simple, lets take the example of any animal/tree that gives 100 coconuts… While some will get the full 100 (100%) coconuts on harvesting that animal/tree, some will get as low as 85 (85%) coconuts, while some will get as high as 115 (115%) coconuts for the same animal/tree… This is only because our farms have been placed under some kind of variable testing… This might change in the future, but this is the exact reason why we are all getting differences over these nutty Coconuts…
