FarmVille Community Manager, Grimwell announced that an exciting new feature regarding FarmVille Gift Box clean-up is slowly rolling out!

Are you tired of seeing all those items from expired quests taking over your FarmVille Gift Box? Not anymore! FarmVille is slowly rolling out a new feature that will rid Task Items needed to complete quests from your Gift Box. What happens to them? With this update, you will automatically receive credit for any item that you claim on the Facebook News Feed or receive from friends.

Any quest items that are currently in your Gift Box will be removed as the feature continues to roll out. And there’s more! FarmVille is also gifting everyone 20,000 free Farm Coins as a compensation for any Farm Coin   value that these items may have had.

We love, love, love, this new feature and cannot wait to try it out! But, and this is a very big but, we have a few questions on how it will work. What will happen to items that we collect for future quests that we are not currently working on…will these items we collect also be counted? If not, this will make questing and friend help more difficult as friends will be more reluctant to click on your request if they are not on the same quest. Eeek!

Feature Rollout: Cleaning up Quest items in the Gift Box!

“Good news! We are slowly rolling out a new feature that will help with your gift box space!

Items required to complete quests will no longer appear in your gift box. Instead you will automatically receive credit for these items as you claim them from feeds or receive them from friends. If the items have any coin value, you will receive this automatically when you load FarmVille.

Quest items currently in your Gift Box will be removed as the roll out progresses. In addition, you will receive a free gift of 20,000 coins to account for any coin value those items may have.

This will give everyone extra space, and you will no longer have to wonder whether or not you still need those quest items clogging up your gift box!
